Cllr Helen Crawford has demanded action to address the failure of the SNP to keep their promises on child care:
“The provision of free childcare is a flagship SNP policy but the implementation of it is a shambles. The ELC partner sector is made up of predominantly female-led businesses run in the heart of our towns and villages across the Highlands. They’re predominately staffed by hard working women, who are qualified child carers. We need to make sure this sector is robust because it allows our hard working families to be economically active and drive childhood attainment.”
