SNP and Green MSPs will have to answer for “car park tax”

Highlands and Islands MSP Donald Cameron has expressed disappointment after SNP and Green politicians voted down amendments which would have helped protect workers across the Highlands and Islands from the impact of the SNP’s car park tax.

Donald Cameron, Scottish Conservative MSP for the Highlands and Islands, has highlighted newly released figures which show that NHS Western Isles and NHS Highland have the highest rates of delayed discharge in Scotland. They stood at 25.3% and 15.5% compared to a Scottish average of 8.5%.

For the last 10 years Inverness Councillor Isabelle MacKenzie has been involved with Contact the Elderly, a charity working to prevent loneliness amongst the elderly.  Normally Isabelle hosts monthly tea parties in her home, with people aged over 75 and living alone invited along and offered free
