Ten days to save the Union: Jackson Carlaw’s warning over Corbyn-Sturgeon stitch-up.
Scottish Conservative leader Jackson Carlaw has given his starkest warning yet that Jeremy Corbyn is “stitching up a deal” with Nicola Sturgeon.
Any such deal could very quickly break up the United Kingdom. That would equally quickly turn into a disaster for Scotland.
With just 10 days until voters go to the polls, Jackson said that “the Union is on the ballot paper”.
Nicola Sturgeon is desperate for the opportunity to have Nationalist MPs propping up a minority Labour government under a weak leader like Corbyn, one she has already made it clear she will dictate terms to. Those demands will include indyref 2 despite no evidence that the majority of Scots want that.
